Krista Beinstein — Kabinett Vagina Dentata

Published in 1998 by Konkursbuchverlag, Kabinett Vagina Dentata is a provocative photographic book by Austrian photographer and performance artist Krista Beinstein. Through approximately 120 images, Beinstein constructs a dark, surreal and highly stylized visual world exploring female sexuality, fetishism, desire and the subversion of conventional representations of the body.

Blurring the boundaries between eroticism, fantasy and grotesque imagery, the work unfolds through unsettling photographic narratives that challenge established ideas of femininity and sexual identity.

A distinctive and uncompromising photobook at the intersection of erotic photography and feminist art.
