Published by Important Flowers, an imprint of MACK, in 2025, The Virgin Suicides brings together photographs taken by British photographer Corinne Day during the filming of Sofia Coppola’s debut feature in 1999. Edited from Day’s original negatives, the book offers an intimate behind-the-scenes view of the film, capturing the young actors on set and between takes, alongside details of the costumes, props and carefully constructed atmosphere of the Lisbon sisters’ world.
Blending the visual sensibility of Corinne Day with Coppola’s distinctive cinematic universe, the publication explores adolescence, femininity and the melancholic beauty that defines the film. Featuring new texts by Sofia Coppola and Jeffrey Eugenides, author of the original novel, this photobook offers a closer look at the creative process behind a cult film. This copy is signed by Sofia Coppola.
