Published by Galerie Au Bonheur du Jour, Les Amants de Sidi Bou Saïd presents a collection of 54 archival photographs taken by an anonymous amateur photographer in Tunisia around 1945. The images offer an intimate glimpse into male life and relationships in Sidi Bou Saïd during the post-war period.
Through these historical photographs, Nicole Canet brings together a rare visual archive that captures moments of intimacy and the everyday lives of men in mid-20th-century Tunisia. The publication preserves a little-known photographic collection, offering a compelling document of a particular time and place.
